Dear Guy Best Friend,

While I love my girlfriends unconditionally, you should know you are right up there with them. Although we constantly talk, I don't feel like I express enough gratitude towards you, but there are so many things you do for me unintentionally that I have yet to thank you for. So here it goes:

Thank you for boosting my confidence: I can always count on you to give me the best pep talks whether it be at a party or before a match, so that I feel better about myself knowing that you are rooting for me.

Thanks for always having my back even when I am completely wrong: No matter how crazy my ideas/opinions are you somehow manage to understand my reasoning. It is comforting to know that I can always come to you when I am frustrated.

Thanks for giving me that male perspective: You don't sugarcoat things, which is exactly what I need. Thanks for letting me send you all the profile pictures and screenshots in the world, just to hear your honest opinion.

Thanks for making it so easy when we hang out: We can Netflix and chill without having to feel uncomfortable. It takes two seconds for us to make plans to go to Fat Fish or just grab lunch after classes. Most importantly, I don't have to try to impress you and you don't have to try to impress me.

Thanks for always including me: Even when the answer is “no, I don't want to go out," you call me millions of times to try to persuade me even though you know I am stubborn and won't change my mind.

Thanks for your 'shitty' taste in music: Because you are always so persistent on being the DJ in the car, I have been forced to listen to genres of music I had never listened to before I met you. So thank you for expanding my taste in music.

Thank you for your spontaneousness and outgoing personality: I know I can count on you to show up at my door at 3 AM without giving me a solid heads up. Or forcing me to go drunk laser tagging. Without you, my life would be less exciting. Thank you for encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for always checking in on me even when you don't have to: It is so nice getting texts asking how my matches/exams went, how my night was, or how I’m feeling.

Thank you for the countless Snapchats: Whenever I put my phone down, the minute I look back at it, I know I will have a snapchat from you singing your heart out in your car.

Finally, thank you for helping me break the stereotype that “you can't be best friends with a guy without one person having feelings”: I feel so lucky that our friendship is natural and easy-going. There has never been an ounce of pressure on our relationship and that is the beauty of it. You are like the brother I never wanted but found anyways.

Love,

Your Girl Best Friend

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
