Dear HEROES,
I know this is a sensitive topic with the chaos and corruption in the world today. My heart and deepest prayers are with the Dallas police officers that lost their lives protecting the people that were against them. That was a horrific turn of events. Racism is a continuous controversy in the world today. Biased at times even. Stop what you're doing and put your hand over your heart...hear that beating? Everyone alive has a heart. Everyone has loved ones waiting for them to return from a long day of work. Family, significant others, friends, and even pets wait for you to come home. We should all try and focus our energy on helping making the world a better place than hate and hurt ONE single law enforcement. Who do you call when you need emergency assistance? First responders that's whom. Let that sink in for a moment.
Police officers may be villians in the fantasy world you are living in but they are heroes to me. They are doing what they set out to do: protect and serve. They want to protect you at all cost until you threaten their own life. They have a difficult career but I'm sure none of them would change what they do. They make decisions in matters of seconds. Thank you for keeping society safe and the people I care for the most. You are u in my prayers every night.
To all men and women deployed or stationed to serve our country; thank you from the bottom of my heart. risk your own lives to keep individuals safe at home. You're constantly a target and on the front line. You have the toughest job. I owe you my life as well but you are far more brave than I will ever be. My friends are in the military right now and I constantly worry if I will ever see them again. Think of your camo and military suits as capes every day. You are all my heroes. Thank you and you will be in my prayers.
To all the EMT/paramedics. You spend countless hours in an ambulance tending to those who can not help themselves. You save their lives on the way to hospitals. You are the reason they will see another day. You must sacrifice your own personal life to put a person before your life. You are an essential part of the responders family. Thank you for saving my life when I was in a bad car accident I will never forget that day but because of you I am alive and well. You will always be in my prayers, thank you.
So why be bitter to the people that are trying to protect you? Next time you see a police officer, military personnel or an EMT; give them a smile and thank them for helping you silently every day. You are all the supermen to my Lewis Lane.
