Dear little sis,
First of all, you are incredible. You are seriously the smartest, funniest, and most beautiful fifteen year old I know. Everything you have had in life you have worked your butt off for, and you continually surprise me. As you know, school was relatively easy for me. I had a good enough memory to glide by in my classes with a high enough grade that my GPA wouldn't waver. For you that was never the case, but you never let that change your perception of yourself. You honestly inspire me to be better.
Growing up was hard for us because we kind of hated each other. Not full out hate, but typical sibling hate that definitely got worse when we had to share a bathroom mirror. Mom always told us that we would eventually be best friends , but I didn't believe her. Of course, she turned out to be right about everything. I mean sure, you make me want to pull my hair out sometimes, but I wouldn't trade any of that for anything.
The hardest part of college is being away from you so much. It's hard knowing that big parts of your life are happening that I can't share with you, but I know that this is all a part of growing up. I know I won't always be there to protect you, and you won't always be there to make me laugh. I also know, that no amount of distance will keep me from my little sister when she needs me.
As you go through life always remember that your biggest cheerleader is only a phone call away.
Love you always,
Your sissy
