Throughout the years I've come across many people who I consider to be best friends. It seems like during every new stage of my life God blesses me with new people to add to my support system. Friendships that would provide pure joy, knowledge, and love into my life when I needed it most. These weren't the type of friendships that faded out quickly or became too much 'work' after a long period of time. No, instead they were the truest friendships I had ever experienced and remain the most genuine and timeless friendships today.

To my built-in best friends that were given to me from the moment I was born; thank you for giving me the meaning of true friendship at a young age. My family was my first form of best friends and I still consider them to be that. Thank you for the deep belly laughter at the dinner table, the endless memories at family parties, and the overwhelming amount of love that you've incorporated into my life. Thank you for instilling the values that remain true to my life today and lastly, thank you for being the people who shaped me into who I am today and continue to shape who I will be in the future.

To my hometown best friends; thank you for being my support system through the first loves, the first breaks, and the first real losses in my life. Thank you for constantly supplying me with painful cheeks from smiling too much, eventful memories we can only share with one another, and reassurance that we'll never truly be alone in this crazy world. Thank you for accepting me in all forms, guiding me through life's challenges, and encouraging me through every endeavor we take on. Thank you for proving that no matter where we're at in life, we will always be there for one another, no matter near or far. Through the good times and the bad, we can always count on one another to simply be there. The continuous love and support that you all provide me with are never taken for granted.

To my college best friends, thank you for being my home away from home. Thank you for the 2 a.m talks, the random but much-needed pick-me-ups, the spontaneous adventures, and the friendships that will last a lifetime. Thank you for caring even when I don't and reminding me that I can do anything I put my mind too. Thank you for being as weird as me when I need to unwind from the stress of life. Thank you for allowing me to grow as a person and continue to accept me for who I am. Thank you for the laughs, the love, and most of all thank you for being the people who you are.

Overall, each and every one of you has shown me the meaning of true friendship, love, and compassion. Lessons in which, I could never thank you enough for. So, thank you for all that you do and above all thank you for coming into my life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
