Dear Teacher :)
How are you? How is everything going? It's been such a long time since I have been in elementary school, but I have to say that I think about fifth grade a lot. That was one of my favorite years in schooling for many reasons; one being that you were one of the best teachers I have ever had. You were ALWAYS willing to listen to us, even though we were probably super annoying sometimes, being typical fifth graders. You always knew how to make class so much more fun and entertaining, which are a few of the reasons that you have inspired me to want to become a teacher. I cannot thank you enough. I have looked forward to writing this article because being a teacher means so much to me and you helped me decide that this is what I want to do with my job in the future.
I have known for awhile that I want to be a teacher. I have always loved working with younger kids and seeing how they interact with each other in and out of the classroom. When I got into high school, I started to think more about my future and what I wanted to make out of it. As I thought about it, I realized that you, my fifth grade teacher, were such an amazing example of a teacher with such passion for your job and you should know that your love for the classroom is recognized by many. It makes me so happy when people ask me why I wanna be an Elementary School teacher. I get to explain to everyone how I was blessed to have many amazing teachers and one specific one who really made me love school a lot more than I used to.
So teacher, all I really have to say is 'thank you'. Thank you for being the absolute best. Thank you for still letting me come visit and email you. I cannot wait until I get to have a classroom of my own in the future. And then I can tell everyone how you inspired me to become the best teacher I could be. So happy to have you in my life. I will always look up to for everything you do.
Love, Your Former Student
