Dear best friends,

Thank you for being my best friend(s).

Thank you for always making time for me. Whether you're studying for an exam, at work, or having a Netflix session by yourself, I know that I can always call/text you when I'm stressed with anything. Or if it's the only weekend, I'll be home from school for weeks and you make time to grab lunch or hang out after you get off work. You're always there and you know me better than anyone and I'm so blessed to have you.

Thank you for being direct with me. When I'm trying on that weird new outfit I thought would look good on me, thank you for telling me I look better in something else, and thank you for helping me find something else. Thank you for helping me realize that my problems aren't really that big and snapping me back into reality.

Thank you for not knowing what boundaries are (kinda). You know no boundaries when it comes to me. Sometimes it can be a little uncomfortable when you see a booger in my nose and you just go ahead and grab it for me, but I know you're just trying to make me not look like an idiot with a booger out my nose.

Thank you for boosting my confidence. From sending you snap chats or commenting on my Instagram pictures, you always have something positive to say. Every small accomplishment I make you congratulate me and just make small comments that make my day, thanks fam.

Thank you for knowing me so well, and understanding me. Nobody else understands why I act the way I do, or why I react the way I do. Thank you for allowing me to be angry or mean sometimes in my reactions and rude at other times...but always forgiving me knowing that it's not how I would ideally react.

Thanks for always being my friend through all my bad phases, embarrassing phases, and everything in between. Through my scene phase (thank god I got over that), my bad breakups, my new relationships, me moving off to college, and everything else, you stuck by. You were always there for me, always my friend, and you never left. I cannot thank you enough for that.

Thank you for being my having me be part of your family, and you part of mine. I've never had a sister so it's nice to finally feel like I have one. We both feel comfortable walking into each other's house at any time and I love that. I love that I have someone to always share clothes with, always to talk about everything with, and fight like a sister with.

Thanks for all the fun, and memories. Whether is going kayaking, bridge jumping, watching Netflix, or drinking a lot of wine together, I always have the best memories with you. You always can make me laugh, and you're always up for new adventures with me.

Without you best friend(s), my life would be boring and sad. I wouldn't have anyone to text when I'm bored or upset, I wouldn't have someone to go on random adventures with me, I wouldn't have someone that knows me better than myself, and I wouldn't have someone that's there for me through everything. I am so incredibly blessed to have you in my life, and I love you so much.

Love,

Your best friend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
