Dear Professor,
I have a 13-hour course load, which isn't the most challenging, I participate in marching band and I have a hard time when it comes to taking tests. The worst is when you tell me that I'm going to have a big multi-chapter exam in your class on the day I have a very important rehearsal, the last thing I need is to stress over my grade on the exam.
If I studied for THIRTEEN hours, over a test that we had gone over all the material for, but I still wasn't prepared for, I don't exactly think that was my fault. However, I was blamed. I am not the kind of person who tends to be able to sit still for more than five minutes, but when I do, I stay motivated to study. I felt really bummed that I studied for so long, made so many flash cards, and then it was as if, I didn't do anything.
Please understand I am not trying to make it sound like I do more than most people, or that I study really hard and don't need to. I probably should have studied for two whole days nonstop, like I did last semester. Also, this is what we students hate, having to spend our time in the library or study rooms, because you found it necessary to tell us THE DAY BEFORE our test, that we were even having one. Thank you. Panic level rose to 10,000.

Students also hate when the professors say, "If you have any questions please ask me," and when we ask, your answer is not helpful, or you give us the runaround and try to make us sound stupid.
WHY?
You told us to ask questions, and then you're going to get mad because we don't understand the material and then when we ask you to explain it, you change the subject?
This is not helpful or beneficial to any aspect of our learning, it is also a waste of your class time.
Sincerely,
A frustrated student
