Dear Puppers,
Although I am well aware that none of you can read this, I will assume that someone back at home will legitimately take this letter seriously and read this to each of you. Let it be known how very much you all are missed by your people, all who sadly left for college. Rest assured, leaving was no easy feat. It has been a rough adjustment—not getting to come back to a "welcome home doggie dance" every day, not being able to go on nice strolls in this fall weather together, not getting to cuddle and watch birds and squirrels through the window together...man, there is so much we're missing right now.
We are so terribly sorry for leaving you friends. Most of us can't even bear the image of any of you sitting by the door as we left that day back in the summer, with tails wagging eagerly and full expectations of us returning home in a matter of a few hours, only to keep waiting and waiting for days on end. We. Are. So. Sorry.
I know, you all probably aren't thinking about the puppers we might see being walked around here, but I'm going to tell you all anyways that this is nothing to worry about. Even though we might freak out and ask to pet them, they are NOTHING compared to you pups. Sure, those other dogs are cute and all, but are they as memorable as the adorable faces that we grew up with at home?—NO! These one-of-a-kind friendships that we share, they are simply irreplaceable and there is no way in heck that we would turn our backs and betray those friendships!
Now that the elephant in the room was taken care of, I just want to let you all know how much we appreciate you lovely pups. Thank you for being our rocks. Our slobbering, giddy, fur-ball rocks. We can't thank you all enough for being there for us when life really got us down. We can't thank you all enough for doing those incredibly clumsy and adorable things that led to some of our short-lived fame on social media. We can't thank you all enough for being there for the food scraps and spills on the ground that we were too lazy to clean up.
Pups, thank you all for loving us unconditionally. We miss you all so much and we cannot wait to go home and keep these friendships going 5ever.
Love,
Your Human Companions
