Throughout my years in school before college, I had a few teachers along the way that have always had a special place in my heart. I'm lucky enough to call a few of these people mentors in my life, and I cannot imagine my life and where I would be without them.
Dear teachers,
You've all known me for quite some time now. You've had me in class, tutored me, mentored me and have watched me go through college and all the obstacles that have gotten me to where I am today. High school and the beginning of college were tough years for me. Now this isn't a topic I like bringing up often, but you are what got me through those years. In the beginning of college, I was diagnosed with learning disabilities. School was tough for me and I wasn't sure that I would be able to get through it and accomplish what I wanted in life. With your help along the way, I was able to pick a career that I could not be more excited about!
I look up to you and take your advice with me everywhere I go. I know that you are my cheerleaders and will always help guide me down the right path when I am struggling. I cannot thank any of you enough for continuing our relationship throughout the years I had you in or out of the classroom. I know that whenever I need advice I can always come to you, no matter what it may be about.
Continuing our relationships through the years has shown me how to let people in and never give up on them. I've learned to push myself to allow myself to succeed and live life to my fullest. Even if we don't see each other often, I know that I can always count on you to be there for me being a text or Facebook message away.
I hold our relationships close to my heart and never wish to give them up. You are truly the people that I look up to the most in my life and I am forever grateful for the bonds we share with one another. I believe that you are the people who will be cheering me on at my college graduation and beyond.
Thank you for all you have and will forever do for me.
With love always,
Rebecca
