Dear Kayla,
I got pretty lucky freshman year at Endicott because not only did we live right next door to each other, but we also had a class together. I remember on the first day you went to the wrong classroom, and when you walked in late, I realized that you were the girl who lived next to me, so I stopped laughing. That was the moment I knew I needed to be friends with you.
Two short years later, and we've made it to senior year (though you're already halfway through yours)! You've stuck by me through the highs, the lows, and all the ugly moments, and I am so grateful to you for being my best friend. There isn't anyone or anything strong enough to tear us apart, and I am so excited to see where each of our lives takes us. While I don't know where we'll be in the next five years or what we'll be doing, I do know that we'll be friends through it all-- that's good enough for me.
I don't want to be too mushy, but I just want to say that you deserve all the world has to offer. You've been dealt a tough hand of cards and your resiliency in pushing past all the obstacles always amazes me. Thank you for showing me what it means to be strong, and for showing me not to take the little things for granted. Thank you for telling me to shush when I get long-winded, for being crazy just like me, and for making me laugh day in and day out. This summer will be a tough one knowing it's the last one we have coming back to school to see one another.
I love you and (clearly) am SO happy and appreciative to have you in my life. Thank you for being my person. LL's forever!
Love,
Taylor
