My Dear Best Friend,

Why is this letter dedicated to you? Only because you deserve it. So grab that box of tissues, and get ready, because what I am about to say, I say from the bottom of my heart.

You are pretty much my other half. You encourage me to do my best, support me at my worst, and yell at me when I'm being a lazy idiot. You are the only person who is always brutally honest with me, because we care that much about each other to make sure we don't lose sight of being the best we each can be.

Throughout life, it is so hard for people to "discover their true self." I am so honored that I have been there to support you as you have been more open about who you really are, especially when others can be quite judgmental.

Best friends would typically say, "No matter how many times you fall, I will always be there to help you back up." However, if we are being completely honest here, you and I would initially laugh a little at the one who fell, then after laughing compose ourselves and say, "Alright enough with this pity party, and get your life together." Why would we do this to each other? Because sugar-coating is all crap, and anything less than the truth is out of the question.

But if I ever have my heart broken or feel like I don't know what to do, you will drop anything to be there to help me figure it out.

You also don't give a damn about what people think. I love that no matter what, you are always so proud to express yourself. You look beyond gender norms and can always be who you are.

Most importantly, regardless of whatever has and may happen, we will always love and respect each other 24/7. You’re the friend that I’ll cherish until the day I die. From the many times we have partied till dawn, to the countless YouTube videos we laugh over, and the late nights we have had where we talk about our futures and dreams over a giant pizza, there’s nobody else I’d rather have by my side.
