An Open Letter To My Future Little
Alyssa Tite

Dear future Little,

You don't know who I am yet, and I don't know who you are. But I would like to start off by saying welcome to the family. You are now a part of a beautiful family based on love, support and so much fun. You are going to fit in perfectly.

I chose you for a reason. I saw a little bit of me, your Grandbig and your Great Grandbig in you. You have dreams, hopes and aspirations that I can not wait to help you fulfill. I chose you because I knew that you would fit into our family perfectly. You chose me for a reason. Somehow, in some way, I impressed you in the very short few weeks that you were given to find someone that you clicked with. There is a reason that you wanted me to be your mentor for the next four years, and I will never forget that.

You are home. You never have to wonder who you are going to call when times get rough because I am here. You never have to be alone in the library at ridiculous hours studying for that exam that everyone is freaking out about because I will be right there next to you (probably feeding you some really unhealthy snacks). Our family is your family away from home.

I can't wait to watch you grow. As a freshman in college, you have so much to learn from yourself, your professors, your peers, your sisters and myself. I cannot wait to make an impact on your four (or more) years at this university.

I am not your mom. I am just a sophomore in college, so I also have a lot of growing up to do too. I will never tell you that you can't do anything, but I will be there to lecture you (or be your shoulder to cry on) when you make questionable decisions. I guarantee you that more times than none, I will be right there beside you on those questionable nights.

Never forget that I love you unconditionally. I will never judge you for something that you did. I will never have any expectations for you, and I will never push you harder than you need to be pushed. You are beautifully you, and I am here to love you for just that.

Love,

Your thankful Big

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
