Dear Foreign Friends,
Who knew that we would meet each other? I, for one, did not even think for a second that I could meet such cool, different and unique people all in one place. Yet here we are. This summer has been one of the best summers I have been lucky to be a part of with all of you. All the memories we've shared are definitely going to last a lifetime, and I'm really happy that I've found all of you.
The odds of meeting you guys were very slim, yet we have defied the odds and become friends. The adventures we've had and the long hours at work have made us bond like no other. I can't believe the summer is almost already over and you all have to head back to your countries. It feels like you've only been here for a week or so and I'm still getting to know you all. I'm really proud to say that I am your friends because it is such a unique experience to be with you all.
So I want to say thank you. Thanks for sticking with me even though I am an American who has a totally different culture than all of you. Thanks for trying to teach me your language. Even though I may only know a few words, it's still pretty cool that I can communicate with all of you. And most of all, thanks for coming to the United States and experiencing the summer with me. I wouldn't have had a memorable and fun summer without you, and I appreciate you all very much.
So with that being said, come back next summer or don't. Whatever you choose to do, I'll be happy for you guys. You will always have a place to stay here, and I would love to travel to each and every one of your cities and countries if I could. I love that I can say that I have friends from all over the world and that I can travel to each country and stay in a different city every night if I wanted to. And it's always great to have connections all throughout the world, so if I ever find a job overseas, I'm sure I can get a hold of all of you then too.
Each day at work and each night at one of your places holds very dear memories for all of us that I hope we can talk about later in our years. I'll never forget the fun we've had and I hope that I can see all of you again sometime. I still can't believe that we've come this far and have experienced all of this together. You guys are like my second family and I love that I can come to you guys and have the best time even if I've had the worst day.
Although you are all leaving soon, I hope that these memories will stay with you, and I appreciate meeting all of you. I can now say that I have an international family, and that's something not everyone can say, so thanks. Thanks for being you and deciding to travel to the middle of nowhere Wisconsin for the summer.
