Dear Long-Distance Best Friend,
It's weird to think that we haven't gone to the same school or lived in the same town for almost five years now. Pretty much all we have ever known in our friendship is distance, but it hasn't fazed us the least bit. Our friendship is as strong as ever, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
There are few things I look forward to more than our phone calls or Skype dates. I know that every time I talk to you, I will hang up in a better mood. You never fail to put a smile on my face, even miles away. I can't even describe the excitement I feel when I know that I will get to see you in person. It's like Christmas morning every time!
Even though we don't have much time together, we sure make the time we do have counts. My memories with you are some of my favorite times to look back on. From eating ice cream straight out of the carton while watching chick flicks, making a fruit pizza together (and eating it all in one night) to biking all around town in the summer heat and spending a weekend camping together. There is never a dull moment with you.
We both have our separate, busy lives, but we always make time for each other. It is so refreshing to have a friend I can always count on to be there. It seems like no matter how long we go without seeing or talking to each other, we are always able to pick up back where we left off. It is for this reason that I know you will always be a part of my life.
There are very few people that understand me like you do. We have almost everything in common, and I know that there will never be any judgment from you. We tell each other up front, and give honest advice. I can always count on you to humble me when my head gets too big or to lift me up when life breaks me down. It takes a true friend to tell it how it is.
Although you are hardly ever directly next to me, I cannot imagine my life without you. You are one of the most important people in my life, and I cherish your friendship beyond words. Thank you for being my person, even from miles away. Here's to all the memories we've made and all the adventures we will have in the future. I love you.
Always,
Your Long-Distance Best Friend
