Dear Crush,
First of all, you have no idea that I even like you. My head is filled with thoughts of ways I wish I could tell you how much I like you, how much I wish I could just walk around knowing you are mine. I have never felt like this. I get butterflies every time I hear your name, and get nervous knowing I am going to see you, and even get a small smile every time your name pops up on my phone.
The problem is I will never build enough courage to tell you. I could go for years, and maybe even eventually get over you, without ever saying the words "I like you". I am afraid. Afraid you will laugh, turn me down, or plain out ignore me. I am afraid it will ruin our friendship. I sit in my room complaining to my friends about how much I wish I had the courage to tell you, or how much I am crushing on you, and how much it is crushing me. I am pretty sure they are annoyed hearing about you.
It is breaking my heart and is causing me to have a battle in my head. I am fighting thoughts of "Should I just stay friends with him?" "Should I tell him?" and the countless dreams "Maybe today he will ask me out." "What if this happened." I am pulling myself apart just from a text message. I am beating myself up at seeing you.
At this point I don’t know what to do anymore. I am constantly contemplating every move I make and wondering what will happen next. My mind is racing, thinking about you. My thoughts are not complete anymore. This honestly sounds like a bad love story.
Some days you surprise me and make me feel all giggly and sweet, other days I get nothing and feel dreadful. Again more lines from a cheesy love story.
I cannot stop thinking about you. My mind is in 100 different directions. Does he like me back, does he think I am obsessed with him, does he think we are just friends? Honestly I don’t know. Some days I wish I could just read your mind and know what you think of me, what you think when you see me. Other times I am glad I don’t know because I think it would break my heart.
Now I am not saying everything has been bad. You have made me feel different; happy, excited, hopeful. You have told me things that most people don't know about you and given me someone I can talk to. You have become a friend and shared so many memories with already. True, during some of those memories I have wished that we were together, but that is okay.
Let me just say that you are amazing. You are sweet, kind, loving, cheerful, and full of live. You love God and are striving to follow His path for your life. You love your family and you love your church. You love your friends and you love God. What more could a girl ask for. I have seen they way you love your mom and I know you would love your wife just the same. You have the same passions as I do. You care for people and love to be around people, but you also know when someone needs alone time.
I pray about you. I pray that God has put you in my life for a reason. I pray that He will give the the answers I need, does He want us to be together, does He want us to be friends, what does God have in store for us. Some days I pray that He wants us together because then all my stress will go away. But really, I pray that God's plan for you will be amazing. I am praying that God will give me the answers I need and that He will guide you in the steps you take.
For now, I am glad we are friends. I am glad that I have met you. And for now, I am happy with our friendship. I hope you are too.
Sincerely, the girl who has the biggest crush on you but is to scared to tell you.
