My best friends have always been there for me in the good times and the bad times.

Friends are the family we get to choose. They are perhaps the most important gift life gives us because of their loyalty, love and strength. Having great friends can make all the difference, especially when you just want five minutes to talk or a hug after a day that just keeps getting worse. Best friends are the people you can go skydiving with and sit on the floor and eat ice cream with. It never matters what you are doing as long as you're having a good time.

People come into our lives for many reasons and sometimes it's not a good one. If we're lucky however, we can count our true best friends on one hand. I've had a best friend since I was four and I am lucky enough to say that no matter the distance we have remained friends for over fifteen years. I even got the chance to make new friendships where I have had so many amazing memories. From high school to college, we went through a lot and supported each other through the whole process. It's amazing how we have managed to remain friends after all this time and still manage to call each other at least once a week.

My best friends have always been there for me in the good times and the bad times. From traveling to Europe and ski trips to stressful weeks and ridiculous rants, we have remained by each others' sides.

Friendship isn't about who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you" and proved it. - Unknown

No one has changed my standards more than my best friends. Some have taught me how to be positive, laugh more and have fun at all times. Others have reminded me that gentlemen still exist and I deserve to have the door held for me and walked to my car. It might sound silly, but friends are the foundation of relationships you get to choose. Family is family no matter what and sometimes we need a little more to help us catch our breathes. Friends give us that extra spice in life and remind us daily about all the things we should hope for and the things we are worthy of.

Thank you to my amazing best friends for everything that you do and all that you stand for. Thank you for worrying about me in the bad times and loving me at my worst. Thank you for making me enjoy life and loving me at my best.

Love,

Your Best Friend

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
