Hey! Remember freshman year of high school when we first met in the lunchroom? You were so shy and just laughed at whatever I said. As months passed, we grew closer and closer. Especially during basketball and poms try-outs. Remember that? We were so weird and dorky that year, but that's what I liked about us. We always talked about crushes like we were little girls and we giggled easily. I remember telling you my deepest secret and I appreciate the fact that you never acted towards it. Thank you for never telling anyone and not judging me for my flaws. I know that I wasn't my best and I know that we got in a bunch of arguments throughout all those high school years, but at the end we always apologized to each other because sisters fight and just look at how far we've gone!
It was sad to see, though, that you found a passion and I found mine. You have always been smart. When senior year came, you started getting involved in business subjects and we drifted a little. Hey, at the end we still stuck together and you were in the honors society and received an award because of how dedicated you were! I was so happy for you that year.
Now we both go to different schools. It's very hard to see each other and it hurts, but I know that you are out there being successful. I am so proud to see how far you have gone. I know that we barely see each other, but I love that whenever we hang out, it always feels like we have never been separated. It is never awkward between us two. We are always laughing at random things. Thanks for having fun adventures over there, because then you are here to tell me everything to make me laugh. I love hearing gossip!
Even if it's just for an hour that we hang out, I always cherish that time. Thank you for supporting me with my writing, anxiety, and depression. Just know that if something happens, I will always love you. I can see a bright future ahead of you and I know that you have so much potential. At the end, you're my inspiration and just know that distance will never tear us apart.
I hope we grow old together and that we celebrate our 21 birthday together. I hope we get to see each other's kids and are maid of honors for each other's weddings. I'll always be here for you, I am just a text or phone call away. We are both going on opposite paths, but it doesn't mean that they will never cross. Thank you for still being my best friend, I love you like a soul sister. Keep doing what you're doing, and remember that I got your back.
Love,
Your Best Friend for Life
