To my Past Self:
Everything is going to be okay. I know you're stressed now and can't see how everything will work out. But, trust me, in the end it does. You do get into college, you will meet friends there, and you will be able to visit home plenty. I know it's hard to see past the stress you're under but it does get better. In fact, all of this will make you stronger. You will find yourself changing within the next couple months, growing more positive and gradually overall becoming happier. So, don't give up hope.
Stress is temporary. Don't forget to take care of yourself. The most important thing you can do for yourself is to keep the faith that everything will work out in the end. You have plenty of family and friends who are willing to help you if you let them. Just take a deep breath.
All the stress you are experiencing now will help you in the future. With deadlines being constantly enforced within college, you gradually will learn to cope with the stress. Eventually, reaching a point where it no longer will consume you, but instead, motivate you.
Most importantly, don't lose yourself in the stress. Don't allow yourself to become consumed by everything going on. Spend time with friends and family, appreciate the time you have with them before you leave for college. Find things to cope with your stress, go on an aimless drive and listen to music, hike a mountain, spend time with your pets, read; anything to give yourself a break.
Everything will work out just fine. Have faith. Don't give up. Keep working hard, it will pay off. Be appreciative. Be present.
You got this.
With love,
Your Future Self
