We go through life meeting all sorts of people. We meet people who impact us in different ways. They say that some are lessons, while others are blessings. There are 7 billion people in the world and we meet more people than we can even remember in our life. There will be people who punch your heart, stab your back, pull your hair, then there will be those people who touch your soul.
No matter how temporary their part was in your life, they did something people who have known you for year couldn't do. They are the people you have met that made you feel better about yourself, or the world we live in. They are the ones who have restored your faith in humanity and made you want to be a better you. The people who have gave you advice that shook what you have ever thought before. This is to the ones who have touched your soul.
To our soulmate.
I am lacking the soulmate the movies talk about. I don't have that one guy in my life I would label as my soulmate. I do, though, have my best friends who embody the term soulmate to a tee. They keep me sane and am able to talk to them about any struggle and they will be right there with me. I have only known them for a few years but know that they are truly my soulmates. They are similar to you and are always there to discover the beauty and confusion of life, and for that we thank them.
To the ones we don't know.
There is always that story, an article on Facebook, a story on the news of someone who restores your faith in humanity. They touch your soul even if you have no idea who they are, they made you want to become a better person. While a lot of us won't act upon the feeling, at least it got you thinking about the issues going around in the world. Those people will stick with you forever because as funny as the human body is strong emotion will stick with you and so will this strangers' acts of kindness, and for that we thank you
To the ones we've known our whole life.
This one goes out to the life-long friends, your brothers and sisters, and to most importantly your parents. These are the people who touch your soul because they know you better than anyone else. They are the ones who are there to tell you exactly what you need to hear no matter how hard it is for them to say. They are always going to be there to support you through your ups and downs. They love you and expect nothing more from you then to be happy. Here's to them because honestly you don't know where you would be without them.
You meet so many people in a lifetime they all have their purpose but the ones who touch your soul are especially amazing. Never take them for granted because there are only so many people that can do something as beautiful as touch a soul.
