Initially, I wasn't even going to apply to write for Odyssey, it seemed silly that I felt like I wasn't anywhere near good enough. I saw so many amazing people in my life writing for Odyssey and I simply assumed that I wouldn't even get in. It seemed like this elite group of perfect writers with so much good content and then there was just me.

After speaking with a few people about their experience through Odyssey I decided to apply and after talking to the then EIC I knew that I was going to be just fine. To say that I was excited to join this club or whatever its even considered was an understatement. To me, it felt like I was in a dream and I was finally able to tell my stories to the world and I didn't care if anyone read them or not.

It has officially been 365 days since my first article was posted on October 30th, 2017 and since I joined a group that has truly changed my life for the good. I transferred from another school and I knew I wanted to get into something that I loved so I decided that if I could get into Odyssey that I would do it. There have been many times when I have wanted to quit and be done but I just know that even if one person reads my article it will change their lives in one way or another.

Poetry is the thing I am best at but have learned many new ways to write and create my content for my readers to enjoy as well. Through the last year, I have met so many amazing people with so many different backgrounds, stories and lives to tell the world about. Each member of Odyssey is so unique and different and are all infinitely more brilliant than I could ever be.

Through Odyssey, my eyes have been opened to the views of all sorts of things and how differently we all are but how similar we all are as well. I have learned a lot about myself personally, mentally, physically and everything in between. The last year my life has been a whirlwind of ups and downs and being able to go back to my people at Odyssey to get advice and help has been so immensely important and amazing for me.

With the writing I have done via Odyssey I have learned that it is not good to keep everything bottled up inside but instead to write and to let the words pour out of your brain and into your fingertips and onto the screen. Writing, in general, has helped me get through a lot of things in my life immensely and I cannot be more grateful for Odyssey and the amazing things I have gotten from it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
