Ole Miss fraternities have always been a stronghold on the university's campus. They are each unique and have defining characteristics per each house. Across campus, you hear what each house and its members bring to the university. Some even align their "compatibility" by pledging or never misses a party.

What does that begin to sound like?

Zodiac signs.

Astrology is derived from constellations, your birth date, and an element. Through your zodiac sign, you can find out where to focus your energy and what areas of life you should dedicate less time. You will also be able to evaluate the possible relationships knowing if your signs will make you compatible. Let's see where the stars align for the fraternities at the University of Mississippi.

ATO: Aries

ATO is predominantly an "alpha" fraternity. They are leaders of the pack and can rally their brothers for support and their groupies. They know how to work hard, play hard; therefore, people are naturally attracted to their energy and charisma. Their only downfall is their strength, enthusiasm, and determination can come across aggressive and arrogant at times.

PHI DELT: Scorpio

Phi Delt without a doubt takes building a new pledge class very seriously. There is no fluff when learning about the guys coming through because they already have their eyes on who could be a potential member. They like to control their own destiny. Also, they are very loyal and can come together for their chapter, especially for campus involvement. Their "powerhouse" mentality can shut people out at times but with their drive, it does not seem to phase them.

CHI PSI: Aquarius

Chi Psis are progressive souls who love to spend time thinking about how things can be better. Their ideas are always original and inventive. They can be a bit impatient, even temperamental, with those who disagree. They must understand that "newness" takes time and cannot always blaze the trails. Chi Psis treasure their friends and acquaintances and want to give back as much as they can.

DELTA PSI: Taurus

Delta Psis have great strength and stability, loyalty and dogged determination. They want to get the job done, and they will. Sometimes, their stubbornness and argumentive ways get in the way. They like to be rewarded for the success. These qualities, plus their big hearts, tend to be very attractive. Delta Psis come across as well rounded and potential partners.

SIGMA NU: Leo

Sigma Nus love being the center of attention. Their energy is magnetic and knows how to start a party. They do not lack for ambition, either, and are likely to accomplish any they put their mind to while having a lot of fun while they're at it. Their warmth ensures that others will enjoy the ride as well. Since they are natural born leaders with strong opinions, they can also be overbearing and somewhat harsh.

SAE: Sagittarius

SAEs are physically and mentally wanders, not mention they are not currently on campus. They view their selves as noble leaders since they were the first fraternity on campus. They like to explore and think freely. They are come across as very easy going and optimistic. The alternative to this, for better or for worse, SAEs can be argumentative and blunt. They like to self-indulge and life for an SAE is played full-on, which is why it's chock-full of experiences.

SIGMA CHI: Cancer

Sigma Chis take great pride in their home and brotherhood. They love their fraternity traditions and history. They are tenacious and strong-willed and like to get their way and can become rather vindictive. That being said, any Sigma Chi would say they are ultimately motivated by protecting their brotherhood.

PIKE: Gemini

Pikes are very socially inclined. They are the life of the party and want everyone around them to feel that way too. Their ability to communicate effectively and to think clearly come across as very charming. Pikes only downfall is their ability to follow through and can be wishy-washy at times. They are go-to guys for a good time and a true friend.

PHI TAU: Pisces

Phi Taus love to help others and do so in the most imaginative of ways. They associate themselves with dreams and secrets, which is realistic for their aspirations on campus. They very easy-going, talented, and creative. They do have an issue sometimes balancing reality.

KA: Sagittarius

KAs are extroverted and enthusiastic. They are able to transform their thoughts into actions and they will do anything to achieve their goals. They want to experience everything fraternity life has to offer them and they want ultimate freedom to do so. KAs are often impatient and tactless, so it's important to learn to express themselves in a tolerant and socially acceptable way. Life is never boring being a KA.

BETA: Virgo

Nationally being one of the oldest fraternity, they are naturally very picky. They come across as very modest and get things right the first time. Betas are practical, logical, and perceptive which prepares them for anything thrown their way.

PI KAPP: Libra

Pi Kapps are very diplomatic and want to see change. They want others to feel related to and cared for. They are strategists, organize groups with poise and get the job done, this why many are so successful in leadership positions across campus. Their only downside is they want to always keep the peace.

KAPPA SIG: Capricorn

Kappa Sigs are all about hard work and take a business type approach to almost everything. Their ambition is boundless yet responsible. That's why their success is shown throughout campus, especially in ASB. Their dedication can come across as closed off and cold to some. They tend to put everything to their success and sometimes disregard structure to get there.

PHI PSI: Pisces

Phi Psis are compassionate, artistic, and musically inclined. They are very friendly and surround themselves with different types of people. They avoid stress and conflict, which makes them very laid back. Though they are very relaxed, they can come across as disconnected and uninterested.

SIGMA PI: Virgo

Sigma Pis have strong character but prefer to be conservative and well-organized and to also have a lot of practicality in their everyday life. They always willing to serve. Sigma Pis are usually very humble and easy-going. They can come across as shy and over critical of themselves.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
