His burly build
will make you shiver with chills
His roar
will make you wish you were never born
For some it’s a mystery
whether you actually defecate
What fools
who dare question;
Does a bear s**t in the woods?
No wonder you pillage their campsites
Villagers who dare
camp in your lair
And yet,
when they wave
and shoo you away
you scamper in fright
rather than fight
If only you were more bright,
roamer of the night
Back into hibernation you go
To hide away before it snows
I have great respect for you
almighty bear
but never forget,
who’s truly king here
