Sleepless nights, pulling all-nighters, and early mornings have become all too familiar. But, thank goodness for the creation of not just coffee, but iced coffee. Whatever genius decided to put ice cubes in this already delicious refreshment is my hero. If there’s something I can look forward to on any strenuous day, it’s my next cup of iced coffee.
To my dearest delicious beverage:
You have been there for me on my best and worst days. You are what brightens my morning each day that I am so lucky to have you in my life. Thus, I have decided to display my gratitude for you with this poem:
Iced coffee is one of the most delectable treats
It supports me on days I overcome my greatest feats
The vanilla taste you have is oh so yummy
sometimes I even put caramel iced coffee in my tummy
Most days I just want to sleep all day
But then I drink iced coffee and it’s okay
I can always count on you to pep me up
You’re my favorite thing to put in my cup
Who knew that making coffee cold
would be equivalent to discovering gold?
Just drink one glass or a few
and days are made productive by you
My life was changed after that first taste
spending money on you is never a waste
Whenever I feel like I cannot get anything done
I stop what I’m doing and make an iced coffee run
Studying can go from being awful to the best
as long as I have iced coffee before a test
There are so many places to buy it from
Starbucks, Chick-fil-A: go get you some!
As cheesy as this may sound, I was always told to give credit where credit is due. It’s crazy how adding iced cubes can make a great thing so much greater. I owe a huge thank you to not only iced coffee but also to the inventor of the driving force to my most productive days. Without it, I would have never made it through all that studying, waking up early, and even writing this article. So thanks iced coffee for being so cool, literally.
