Albums are the best. If you like the singer(s), you will probably like, or be able to sit through an entire album of theirs. This saves time of having to make your own playlist of songs. Here are some of my favorite albums.
1. "Fine Line" by Harry Styles
This is Harry's sophomore album. It focuses heavily on the rise and fall of relationships. Songs like "Watermelon Sugar" and "Adore You" are more happy songs talking about the beginning honeymoon phase of the relationship and how great it is to start loving a person. Then, songs like "Cherry" and "Falling" talk about how hard it is to move on after loving someone. The album still has the psychedelic and alternative feel of his first album but has a unique sense of longing that his debut album didn't. Harry continues to be a phenomenal lyricist and dives even deeper into emotional issues than he did before.
2. "American Teen" by Khalid
While this isn't a new album, it is still a staple in my frequent rotation. Khalid has an overall vibe that just makes his music so easy to incorporate into daily life. He is very good at telling stories with his music, most of which relate very well with a lot of youth. He is lighthearted and doesn't take life too seriously, and that shows in his music. This album is all in all an amazing collection of songs that explain just what being a youth in today's world is like.
3. "Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent" by Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi is through and through an amazing artist. He really knows how to pull at the heartstrings and it definitely showed in his debut album. Within the album he talks about an array of uneasy topics. He talks about heartbreak in varies different degrees. In "Before You Go" he talks about all the thoughts that occur when you lose someone due to mental health problems, and then also talks about a sense of self-sabotage he feels in "Maybe." I don't think he could've made a better album to be his debut.
4. "Kid Krow" by Conan Gray
Conan has a particular essence that radiates throughout this album. It's very grungy, yet also pop. It's sarcastic, but also very serious. He touches base on so many feelings and situations with this album and it just makes it even better. He talks about love, heartbreak, and just how messed up society is in general. It is a very real album and I think that's why I love it so much.
All of these albums made it in my rotation because they all have a uniqueness that a lot of other albums don't have anymore. I hope you enjoyed!
