As an senior in high school, I was offered the chance to take IB English. IB stands for International Baccalaureate and is a rigorous program just like AP, and any high schooler that went to an IB school knows the horrors.
By the time the third trimester was about to begin, I had settled down with a wonderful, but slightly crazy, fun teacher. They were fair graders and firm but polite. All of that suddenly changed when I was thrown into another teacher's class, and this wasn't any normal IB teacher, this was the IB director for the whole school! Over the course of the last trimester, I was with people who I didn't know very well with a teacher who was a very hard grader and who I knew nothing about. Despite all of this, I somehow ended up loving this teacher and wished I had him all year. I even grew to love his "Nuggets of Wisdom," which I have decided to share because, believe it or not, this crazy weird teacher knew a thing or 20.
