November and December are the hardest time of the year, and finals and money disappearing does not always make it easier. Especially when you are a student, times are even worse. Life is just hard during this time.

1. If it snows and classes are canceled you are stuck playing catch up at school

2. Teachers start cramming information for finals

3. You start to question you life choices

4. Your relatives question you are your future

5. You think abut your potential future in watching movies all day

6. Your bank account starts crying causes there is nothing in it

7. You hear all the New Year's Resolutions no one is going to keep

8. You finally have Thanksgiving break and eat all you want then realize that finals are around the corner

9. Trying to remember you have to buy Christmas present for

gifts

10. Wishing you had less family members and friends so your bank account does not empty completely 

family

11. Watching everyone go on vacation and they realizing you are going to be stuck at home

alone

12. Getting on the scale after Thanksgiving and realizing you gained back everything you lost in the past months

13. You have to pretend to know all your relaties and talk to them on the phone

14. You watch ticket prices soar up

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
