So, this year may seem a little weird. As you enter the unforgiving jungle that is second grade I will be fighting my own way through my first year of college. We aren't going to the same school anymore, but hey, it is your turn to shine.
I know we don't see each other much and ever since I graduated my where-a-bouts have been a big question mark for you. However, I can assure you that I doing just fine and I'm definitely enjoying every second of adult life.
You might not think I understand what you're going through when it comes to school, but trust me, I do. I have been in your shoes before and in fact, I've probably sat in that desk you're sitting in. You're getting out of the 'everything is coloring and playing games' part of a school which can be a difficult transition.
Not only have you lost a lot of play time, these teachers are placing math, English, and science lessons in front of you, how dare they. Don't worry, I'm on your side about this whole thing, but I'm excited for all of the new opportunities that are being laid out for you.
Try not to fight the newly packed school work in your schedule and embrace it. You have many more years of this to come so you might as well get over it and make the most of every day. Between your new classes, friends, schoolwork, and activities try not to forget about me. I will ALWAYS be here for you no matter what. I love you and good luck.
