Dear Best Friend,
I know that it has been hard facing the fact that we are not together every day, every minute and every second like we used to be. Being in two different states is very hard. Not being able to run over to your best friend’s house and spill all the gossip you have been meaning to tell her is quite difficult. Instead, you have to call her and wait until she answer. Which doesn’t happen most of the time because we are on two different schedules. It sucks not knowing what is going on in each other’s every day lives because it all has to be explained over the phone rather than in person.
Going to the same schools together since kindergarten and then splitting up after high school was hard to face. Knowing that all the classes we had together during our senior year were the last classes, we would ever be sitting next to each other in. Not being able to share your college experience with your best friend is heartbreaking.
Not being able to experience the holidays and events that are occurring in each other’s lives together because our schedules just aren’t the same really sucks. In our situations, school comes first and I am not just down the street from you anymore, I am in another state.
I miss all the fun things we used to do together. Now, I am home for the holidays and it is completely different. We are both grown up and going to have to face the real world soon. Although that may be the case, I know that I will always be there for you and I am sure you will always be there for me.
No matter what the distance, I know I can always rely on my best friend for everything and anything. We have been best friends for what 15+ years now and still going strong. Although I may be in another state than you and on a different schedule, I will always be there for you when you need me. Nothing can pull us apart from being best friends.
One day you will be my bridesmaid and I will be yours. You will be there for me through all the stages of life and I will be right by your side as well. I love you like a sister and that will never change.
Remember that just because I am at school in another state and busy with classes and everything else, you are still in my life and I am always thinking of you. You will always be my best friend and no one will ever replace you.
