I am a female. I am white. I am educated. I am involved in school activities. My insecurities are minimal.
I am straight. I have never reflected on the thought of being gay or bisexual. I am a Christian. I do believe that you love who you love.
It should not matter that one of my friends likes a female and she is a female. If they are happy, I am happy.
I'm not gay, as I said before, however we should not make an individual feel uncomfortable for holding hands with someone of the same sex walking down the street.
Are they hurting you? Think about it.
Are they causing you significant pain because they are happy being who they truly are? Just because it makes you uncomfortable to see love in another form does not mean they should suffer.
I'm not gay, but I will be damned if I let someone I love gets hurt because they are finally happy in the skin they are in. I do not care if someone is straight, gay, bisexual, or transgender —
they are human. They are human. No matter what you think, they are human.
They should feel safe in a bar or club that's made for them. So they can meet more people like them that are accepting. Those places should feel like a sanctuary, not Hell.
Having toxic thoughts about individuals needing to be hurt over having a LGBTQ relationship is more dangerous than a gay couple.
I'm not gay, but I will proudly stand next to a friend at a pride festival if they ask me to go. I will wear something of a rainbow in pride for them. They will forever have my support.
I'm not gay, but I see the difficulties of their everyday lives and how some of their families react to it and their church.
Just let them be. Let them be happy for who they are. Let Elsa from "Frozen" have a girlfriend because some little girl or boy out there has two mommies or two daddies. So what if Dory has a girlfriend in "Finding Dory," like seriously, it's Ellen DeGeneres.
Love those around you. Do not take a second for granted. If something makes you uncomfortable turn the other way. Do not fill yourself with hate.
God loves everyone. Not to make this a religious piece, however if you are christian, remember god does not judge, so neither should you.
Lets give remembrance to those who were in the night club in Orlando. Lets fill our nation with love and not hate and be accepting of all people.
Pray for Orlando. Pray for our country.
