Bored of doing the same things over and over with your S.O.? Fear not- I've compiled a list of date ideas that are way more fun than a movie date. From hitting the local zoo or aquarium to heading to a shooting range, this list should give you plenty of ideas for your next date night.

1. Take a step back in time at a museum.

Museum dates are a personal favorite of mine. Walking around and looking at different exhibits, spending time together, and learning the whole time! Some great ones I've visited are the Museum of Natural History, Franklin Science Center, and the Native American museum. Find local ones near you with Google and go!

2. Dive under the sea at an aquarium.

Aquariums are another personal favorite. You never get to see these kinds of animals on the daily, so seeing them with your partner makes it even more fun! Pictured above is the Georgia Aquarium (they've got whalesharks!), but there are plenty around the country and the world.

3. Go on a safari to the zoo.

While the zoo is debated in terms of ethics and animals' well being, it could be a fun date. Though, be prepared to spend a bit of money- they get a little pricy.

4. Get your thrill on at an amusement park.

What better place to take your date to have a good time than an amusement park! Whether you're going for the food or for some thrill rides, it's a lot of fun- especially when you have someone you love with you.

5. Visit a shooting range.

Now I know not everyone will be on board with this one, but for those that are, this could be lots of fun. Make bets about who's a better shot, see how accurate you are, or even just destroy the target!

6. Bake some yummy treats.

I love to bake. Baking with my partner? Sounds like an awesome date! Make your favorite pastries! Bake some cookies and eat them all that night! Make a cake! The possibilities are endless!

7. Explore nature on a hike.

If you and your bae are active or outdoorsy, hiking would be a perfect date! Take some snacks and other necessities and head for the mountains! Just make sure one of you knows the way back.

A movie and dinner may always be a classic, but if you're looking for something a little more unique and different, trying something else can be lots of fun!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
