There are men that completely respectful, but there are still so many men that are not. To men, women should be much more than sexual objects. Men should never look us up and down. Men should not stare down our shirts. Pertain to brush up against us as if it was an accident. Catcalls and whistle like we are animals at a zoo. Strange men should not think it is fine to grab our ass.
I can't even count how many times a guy "accidentally" touch my butt. I have even been in situations where I have bent down to pick something up and guys pretend to slap my ass as friends laugh. I am not Kim Kardashian by any means. I am just a woman with a larger butt and D cup breast. I should not have to feel objectified. I should never have to stand in a line with one foot awkwardly placed behind me to ward off guys from touching me.
To all the man out there who hate the Gillette commercial, you are this guy. You are the guy who does not view women as people. Instead, women are just objects you desire. Save all us women the time and do not participate in society until you get your act together. No one has to respect something with no feeling, do they? Oh, that something is a 22-year-old girl who can physically feel your hand touching her body and mentally wants to escape the situation. How uncomfortable would you feel if a stranger grabbed your dick as you were waiting in line at a supermarket? -Probably, quite uncomfortable
Maybe tomorrow you impregnate one of those girls you view as an object or ten years from now you are settling down and have a daughter. You would never want anyone to hurt your daughter in the way you hurt all the women you felt were objects. I truly do not know how men who objectify women as sexual objects live with themselves. Women have sexual desires too, but somehow we are the stronger ones who manage to keep our pants on.
Sometimes I need to be reminded I am indeed a person who should not stand for the poor behavior some males exhibit. After years of guys "accidentally" touching my ass I called the last guy out on it and felt badass. To all the ladies out there who are objectified, you should speak up for yourself. Never let a guy degrade you. Remember you are indeed a person who deserves respect.
