Its August 8th at midnight and I am waiting for the release of a video game. The game is called No Man's Sky and is supposed to be one of the best games of this console generation. The game was first recognized back in 2013 at the VGX Awards and was considered to be a bad game. The creators of the game didn't know what they wanted to do for the game fully and since then, it has bloomed into an amazing game. I decided to buy the game and test it out to see if it lived up to the hype.
Before I started playing the game, I was really excited from all of the previews from the game developers "Hello Games." I went to Best Buy to get the game because of a gift card I got from my family. I was the second one to buy the game at that store and was really excited to take it home and play it. I got a text from one of my fraternity brothers asking if I got the game. I told him I did and am pumped to play it. He said that it was a lot of fun and he told me I would enjoy it. So when I got home I popped in the disc, I let it download, and away we went.
When the game got to the main menu, a bright white screen came up and it said the title "No Man's Sky," in a Sci-Fi font. You start the game on a random planet and and what you have to do is scavenge up materials from the planet so you can create fuel for your ship. You have to do this if you want to get off the planet and explore new ones. I started walking around and noticing how the controls work and what button does what action. I start gathering resources from the planet's plants, rocks and even from Plutonium growing out the ground.
There were a lot of things that I liked about this game and feel like it's worth the money to pay for it. The graphics of the game were incredible! The picture is so colorful, the objects that you can turn into resources, and many others. You can use any of the materials from the planets that you can turn into parts for your ship, and your exo-suit that you are wearing. You can explore millions upon millions of planets that are computer generated. You can also discover new planets in the game that haven't been discovered! The space on this game is the largest in an video game history.
If you have someone in your life that plays video games, and has a PS4, then you should most definitely buy this game for them! I love my video games and give this game a 9.5/10. You can even battle other players that are at the same planet as you! This game is one of my favorites since buying a PS4, and I believe that it will be a strong favorite for you too!
