If there was one thing I could personally tell every high school-going-on-college student, it would be to go to the college that is best for their career path.
It's okay if you partied in high school and you love being social; there will be plenty of opportunities to be social no matter how small or how isolated of a school you go to.
However, your high school friends are always going to be ready to go out with you when you come home for summer. The reward of choosing a college for major rather than social scene is that when you graduate at age 22, you'll be able to go out into the world and get one of the best jobs in your field. Then, you'll have enough money to go out whenever you want and support yourself financially.
It'll be frustrating seeing everyone's instagram posts of frat parties and black light events, and that's okay. Let them get trashed and have the time of their lives. Keep studying and working hard. You'll be rewarded when your college finds you the best paying, best qualified company to work for after graduation.
Fear not! You're still going to be young after graduation college, and it'll be much for fun to go out and have fun when you have money and a plan.
