I have been playing competitive Super Smash Brothers Melee for the past 3 years. The day I started to play with some friends, I started looking for my own controller. I was able to borrow one from a friend. I've used some other ones in that time but this controller is special to me, like every player's controller is to them. We all have a story of how we got it or bought it. We all know how it feels while we play, and we all love our controllers.
Any hand-intense game such as Melee requires precision and smooth movement of the fingers. The buttons on the controller are shaped in such a way that players are able to develop the most efficient way of holding the controller for them so they can perform the inputs. I myself claw the controller to perform upward c-stick inputs very quickly after a jump input. To me and many others, the Nintendo GameCube controller is the best gaming controller out there.
