Every girl is guilty of binge-watching a show on Netflix and then hating everything because the guys in her life can't fulfill her newfound high standards of a boyfriend. We, as viewers, go through the emotions of the entire relationship between two, and sometimes three (love triangles anyone?), characters and try so hard to live vicariously through the sweet words and romantic gestures exchanged onscreen. One stellar example of this is the friends-first-lovers-second romance between Nick Miller and Jessica Day on Fox's comedy "New Girl." Sure, anyone who has seen the show wouldn't really call Nick the romantic type, but his tender side grew through his relationship with Jess to become all any girl has ever dreamed of in a guy. Here are 11 times that Nick set unreasonably high boyfriend expectations by being that sweet, goofy bartender that we've all come to love.

1. When Nick made it clear that he liked Jess. A lot.

Every girl likes to hear that their boyfriend would do anything to stay with them. It's like a really warm verbal hug, and we go crazy for that.

2. When Nick was a medical professional.

You know he had to take the time to watch her while she slept, and where that could potentially be creepy, his concern is so endearing.

3. When Nick made sure Jess knew just how much he loved her.

Once again, the verbal reassurance is nice.

4. When he made morning routines cute.

No one looks good brushing their teeth, but for some reason, this made every girl in America want to practice personal hygiene with their significant other every minute of the day.

5. When Nick showed emotional vulnerability.

We all want a man with some vulnerability. Let's be honest.

6. When Nick showed his concern for Jess.

At the end of the day, we just want someone who wants the best for us.

7. When Nick did the full body appreciation look.

Girls know how hard it is to get dressed up, and when someone notices, it's our kryptonite.

8. When Nick knows he's lucky for what he's got.

We like to know that we're magnificent. Because we are.

9. When he left guys' night for Jess.

No, girls don't want you to choose them over your friends, but if you know something's wrong, go home and fix it.

10. When Nick knew what he wanted.

And what he wanted was her.

11. The kiss that started it all.
