As a college student, winter break was much longer than I expected. I had many days to spend with friends and an abundance of time to kill. One day a friend and I decided to explore our charming little town, this brought us to find a cute coffee shop called Jennie and Grace.
Awe and wonder filled the air as my friend and I walked into the quaint little coffee shop in downtown Washington, Missouri. The smell of coffee and peppermint filled the air, two soft golden coated dogs greeted us with excitement while their tails wagged swiftly. We heard a kind and familiar voice welcome us to the store, looking up we were ecstatic to see our freshman year guidance counselor, Carla Poepsel. Poepsel opened Jennie and Grace in mid September of 2015 and since then business has been booming. The cozy little coffee shop has an array of menu options for breakfast and lunch, the shop also has a wide assortment of coffee, espressos, smoothies and even tea. As we looked around the store we saw darling little items for sale, such as coffee mugs, cards and even toys for the kiddies. Even though we were only at this shop for a short while, it brought us such joy. It was a fresh and calming environment, I am thankful to know that there are genuine loving shops around my small town. I will for sure be spending time there in the future and recommend you do too!
