Sometimes resolutions can be difficult to stick to, but here are 23 resolutions that virtually any college student can keep up!

1. Stop procrastinating

I say as I'm procrastinating on all of my studying for finals... awkward.

2. Prioritize better

Your studies should always come before anything else like partying, social media, food... wait, no, food might come first. Regardless, know what should be your number one priority.

3. Eat cleaner

Sometimes it can be hard to eat clean depending on if your university's food is fattening or you're surrounded by fast food everywhere, but you can definitely find clean-ish food if you look hard enough!

4. Learn how to say 'no'

As a people pleaser, this one is still difficult for me to accomplish. You have to remember that you can't be everything to everyone, and that's okay. If you need to say no to activities or people, it's okay to do so.

For example, your professor tells you to study hard for your upcoming exam. What do you say? No.

Good job!

5. Organize your space

I don't know about you, but I personally cannot function in an untidy or dirty space. I either have to organize my workspace immediately or go to a different place to finish my work.

6. Call your parents more often

It won't kill you to get on the phone and call your parents every once and while. Just catch up with them, ask how their day is, tell them to send you money... anything! They'll love to hear your voice regardless.

(p.s. mom and dad, please refer to that third point, love Y'all).

7. Get involved

There are hundreds of clubs at your university that you probably don't even know about. Get involved and try something new! You'll make new friends and probably find out more about yourself and your skills than you thought you had!

8. Take up a new hobby

Working out, arts and crafts, intramural sports... whatever it is, adding a hobby to your daily or weekly routine can be beneficial to your health and overall self-esteem!

9. Learn to love yourself

This is one that a lot of us are still working on. It can be hard, but learning to love yourself is one of the most freeing things that one can do. Try it out and realize how much of a star you really are.

10. Use your phone less and experience your surroundings more

Just put your phone down for one minute and look at the world around you. You might notice new things going on on your campus or you might run into a familiar face that you haven't seen for a while.

11. Worry less

Your mental and physical health is SO important. Try not to stress so much over everything. Study as much as you can until you can't anymore, drink some water and take a breather. You got this!

12. Love more

Love yourself. Love your family. Love your friends. Love everybody around you and show how much you care about them.

13. Give yourself more credit

If only your professor would do the same...

14. Utilize a planner

You might have thought a planner was pointless in high school, but utilize it more in college. Personalize it, buy the cutest one the store has to offer... just make sure you actually use it!

15. Research your future career

I can't even tell you how many times somebody has asked me what exactly I want to do after college and I have to tell them I have no clue.

It's a little embarrassing, so make sure to constantly be researching your future career, the major you're currently in, new trends in your field, etc.

16. Sleep more

GET. MORE. SLEEP.

That is all.

17. Volunteer

Volunteering will not only make you feel good, but it will be doing a service to others which will, in turn, make them feel good. Spread some happiness!

18. Become more independent

Learn how to be a strong independent woman/man that don't need no woman/man.

Do as you damn please!

19. Learn about cultures other than your own

Branch out and learn about other's cultures, ethnicities, religions, ideals, etc. The more you know, the more you grow.

20. Explore the world around you

It may be expensive to go out of the country, but even going on a short road trip with friends is fun and easier on the wallet!

21. Save more money

Speaking of wallets, Y'all need to save your money. If you constantly spend it on random things like food from vending machines, eating out every single night or school gear, it will come back to haunt you. Try making a budget for yourself and challenge yourself to stick to it!

22. Admit your mistakes and learn from them

Admitting that you make mistakes and being able to learn from them can make you such a stronger person. Always take Hannah Montana's advice...

23. Learn to be more flexible

I mean, if you want to have better physical flexibility, that's totally fine. But in this case, I mean learn to be more flexible with plans, people, and life in general.

I'm not going to say new year, new me, but hopefully, these resolutions will give you some ideas on how you can learn and grow in 2018. Happy New Years, let's make it a great one!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
