Happy New Years! We have finally made it to 2017!
I don't know about you, but 2016 was a great year, and I can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for me.
Every New Year there are a set of resolutions that I can never seem to follow. It is not the fact that I can not keep my words, but it is just difficult to do the same set of things everyday. I always want to do something new and switch things up! So here are the top three resolutions that year after year I can't seem to keep:
1. Lose Weight
Everybody--especially me--continuously says that this New Year one of my resolutions are to lose weight. After eating so much food during the holidays and on New Years. It is quite difficult to stop just right there. I find it so hard because after the month of January it is Valentine's Day which contains so many sweets.
2. New Year, New Me
For me, I find this to be very two sided. Some people can re-invent themselves in a short amount of time. Some honestly can stay the same for the rest of their lives with little to no change. I feel like this is a New Year's resolution that people never really stick to because it is hard to let go of certain habits.
3. Actually Following Through With Your Goals
Everybody sets a goal that they want to travel, be successful, and live life to the fullest. We as humans tend to forget this resolution because of the responsibilities we might have. Honestly, if you want this, you won't let anything stop you. We as humans constantly give up so easily, even though we have such high aspirations.
So with keeping all of that in mind, my goal this New Year is not to set resolutions for myself, but to just go along with the flow. If I feel things need to be changed along the way, I will set a resolution for that moment in time. New Year, No Resolutions!
