So the semester is about to begin, and for most it has already begun. FUN. Sometimes it’s really hard to sum up all of the emotions one feels when a new semester begins, so here are some songs to help out.

1. Frustration hits when you’re making your schedule for the next semester.

You’re running back and forth from advisers to your laptop to make sure there’s space in that class you need for your major.

2. If you dorm, you know packing is the next nightmare that awaits you.

Panic consumes you as you attempt to get everything you need without forgetting anything you need (and then you end up forgetting your shampoo.)

3. On your way to school, reality hits you.

You dread going back to class and having to wake up before 11 am. Flashbacks of homework, late-night study sessions and the dining hall food practically brings you to tears.

4. At the same time, you remember saying goodbye to your friends and you realize you won’t see them everyday like you had been over break.

Sadness immediately consumes you.

5. But then, you remember that midnight Wawa runs await you with roommates and friends when you escape your homework and you get excited.

6. The first day of class arrives, and the nerves consume you.

You don’t know who will be in your classes (unless you checked the roster beforehand to prepare yourself) and you don’t know how your professors will be. Let’s be real, no matter what RateMyProfessor says, you still have doubts about the reviews.

7. At least the first week isn’t that stressful because it’s syllabus week.

You know by the end of the week, you’ll go out with your friends and enjoy an extra lit weekend with people you haven't seen in forever.

8. Dining hall food is that old friend you really, really hope you’d never run into again, but you do.

You’re not necessarily disgusted, but you’re disappointed because you hoped that it’d be a little better this time. (It’s not.)

9. The first serious assignment arrives, and you sigh. Looks like this semester is going to be serious, and it’s time for you to take it seriously.

10. Piles and piles of assignments start to consume your life and you’re emotionless because the amount of stress you're under has made you numb.

11. After basically almost dying from the massive amounts of homework, you finally accept the semester has begun and you try really hard to make the best of it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
