Since the new iPhone 7 and 7+ were officially announced, I've heard a variety of opinions. These opinions ranged anywhere from "there's not that many new features" to "this iPhone is going to suck because they took the headphone jack out" to "this is going to be the best iPhone yet." Well, since the new iPhone has actually been released, we've finally got some real reviews from users. Let's just say: everybody is freaking out about the new iPhone.

In short, the iPhone press conference announced the following new features:

• Splash, water, and dust resistant

•This includes falling into a pool

• Better camera

•For the iPhone 7+, this includes a dual camera to provide better zoom

•Professional photographers have given the "thumbs up" on the new camera

• Better flash

•They have provide a quad-LED "true tone" flash which includes two cool tones and two warm tones to make the flash better and brighter

• Improved home button

•The home button does not click anymore and just needs a touch to operate

• Improved design

•They have removed the headphone jack (the less holes on the phone, the less places for water to get in). They also removed the designs on the back so the back of the phone is now a sleek design.

• Longer battery

•Apple is priding itself with how much longer the battery lasts on the new iPhone 7 and 7+. If you had the most recent iPhone, you'll get an extra hour of batter. If you had an even older version of the iPhone, you'll get 2+ extra hours of battery life.

Now, many people didn't really care about these new features. Very minimal updates and not that spectacular. But now that the new phone is out, everybody is really noticing these features. Just take a look at the following youtube videos:

First, The Water Test:

This youtuber decided to take the phone to the test. It's water resistant, but how water resistant is it actually? Well, if you watch this video, you can find out!

He doesn't just stop there, though. In his next video he took the phone to the next level. He compared the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 to see which phone would die first, and at which depths both phones die at. The results are shocking, the videos are a little long, but both videos are worth the watch!

Next, the Drop Test:

Since these phones are just as durable as the other ones (not very), I think it would still be smart to get a case to protect the glass screen.

Then, the Bend... and SCRATCH! Test

Get it? The bend and snap? This youtuber gives us a little science behind scratches and he also addresses the rumor that the home button and the camera might be made of sapphire crystal.

The Boiling Water Test

Yep, you heard that right! This youtuber puts the new iPhone 7 in boiling water.

Freezing Test

That same youtuber took it another step further and soaked the phone in coke and then froze it for 17 hours. Check out the results in the video!

Last, but not least: The Microwave Test

Yes. He is microwaving the new iPhone 7. Crazy, right?

After watching these videos, I think it's safe to say that the new iPhone 7 can withstand just about anything. Does that mean we should test it? Probably not. But isn't that really cool? Heck yes! Which is why everybody is freaking out about the new iPhone 7!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
