Everybody who watches New Girl has a favorite character. Let's not lie though, Jess gets a lot of fan love. Same goes for Nick and Schmidt. Yet, Winston's character is so underrated. Winston could arguably be the star of the series, and here's why:
1. He's Consistent
Jess’s love life might be a mess, Schmidt’s antics may have crossed the line, and Nick is just being, well, Nick. But, you can always count on Winston to make an episode great.
2. He gives the best advice
The whole squad can always count on Winston for advice in times of crisis. While it may be unconventional at times, it always comes from the heart.
3. He is a great "Manny"
Winston gets along so well with kids....probably because, in many ways, he still is one.
4. He’s not afraid to drink feminine drinks
The other guys might stick to beer and other “manly” drinks, but Winston knows that fruity drinks are where it’s at—not to mention how hilariously weird he is drunk.
5. He tells it like it is
You can always count on Winston to tell someone the honest truth, about anything. He’s terrible at lying anyways.
6. He is a Love Guru
Cece and Schmidt? Yep, Winston knew it first.
7. He has the best quotes
“Shame, Shame. I know your name” and so many other classics
8. He relates to feeling insecure sometimes
Finally, a man that understands body image struggles, am I right?
9. He loves his cat
Winston’s relationship with Ferguson is forever pet goals
