The moment all the basic white girls have been waiting for is finally here! For years Starbucks has been the top destination for coffee, lattes and teas. Now the famous coffee house offers an Evenings menu, which includes not only wine and craft beer but a variety of new foods as well. After 4 p.m. you will be able to order small plates such as spinach artichoke dip, cheese plates, meatballs, and that's just naming three options off the new delicious menu.
This certainly did not come out of the blue. The company has been toying with this idea since 2010 and now we can actually live the reality. The Evenings menu will be featured in stores a little more differently than the traditional Starbucks we all know and love. It’s better. We can expect stores with a lot more seating and with added ambiance.
It’s rare that you can find a relaxed atmosphere to go just to grab a beer or a glass of wine and now Starbucks is able to provide that for us. The Williamsburg, Brooklyn location has just recently adapted this menu and we can expect to see an additional 70 locations serving wine and beer.
It’s also important for Starbucks to remain local, meaning that the Brooklyn store will sell beers from Brooklyn Brewery where as the Oregon store offers wine from the local Willamette Valley. It has always been very important for the baristas at Starbucks to be educated in their product, coffee beans. Now, the staff is being trained to aid customers when deciding what wine or beer they might want. There are a lot of changes within Starbucks and I personally couldn’t be more excited to see where the company goes and how successful it will be with their new Evenings program.
