As every year has come to an end and the new year is just around the corner, I start thinking to myself "What will my resolutions be this year?" I come up with pretty much the same thing as last time. Why is that? Because I never manage to fulfill the resolutions. With that realization, I'm going at 2017 with a different perspective and mindset. Instead of resolutions, I will be setting goals.
My goal list will be fine tuned to what I want to accomplish based on where I'd like to be at this time next year. Goals should be realistic. You can always start out smaller then set a new goal as you make progress and complete the ones already set.
As far as I know, there is no rule saying I have to wait till 2017 actually starts to begin working on my goals. Since one is procrastination, I think it's fitting.
I have always been one to wait till last minute, whether it be something school related or work. Now days it's packing for something. I wait till the day of and just throw things in my bag. I tried to start Christmas shopping early this year but didn't get very far.
I want to at least be living in the same city as my boyfriend. I miss him. And I believe it will be in the best interest of us moving forward.
I'm going to need to avoid Victoria Secrets and Ulta for sure! The plan is to pay off my credit cards and start transferring money into my savings. Pinterest has several plans and tricks to help you build up your savings. I'm going to do some more looking and try one out.
Saved the annoying, complicated one for last. I could easily have put "Lose 20 pounds" but I know me and know that's failed time after time. Besides, I'd rather focus on getting to a place where I'm happy and comfortable with myself. I don't want to hate my body or hate looking at pictures someone has tagged me in on Facebook. I'd rather work to cut down my sugar intake, start doing regular psychical activity, lose weight and get toned. The focus of this goal is to start treating my body better!
I'm very excited to start working on these goals. I'm hoping with a short list, it'll be easier to manage. And I know I have a great support team ready to back me up!
