Education is a tool that separates people. A person is immediately judged based on their education level when they apply for a job. It's not being ignorant or judgmental, it's just the employer seeing if they have the knowledge the position requires. This is one of many reasons why education is so valuable. I personally find myself thirsty for new knowledge every day. I love the thought of a new fun fact, or information that can help me grow in my career. In my line of study, more knowledge helps me better understand the science.
Most importantly, though, beyond education are life lessons. Limiting yourself in life lessons limits yourself from expansion and becoming the best person you can be. If a new opportunity presents its self, you should do it! I've never shied away from a new experience, in the opposite I embrace it. By doing so you figure out yourself, and help yourself grow. As I get older, I continue to find out more about myself. More about the person I want to become, more about the things I need to change, and more about what makes me unique. This has helped me figure out my life path, life goals, and who I like to be around.
I didn't get to this self-knowledge by doing the fun stuff either. In the opposite, I feel as if I've learned more about myself by doing the bad stuff. By this, I don't mean go rob a bank and see if it's for you or not. I mean don't be afraid to get hurt, or get a little dirt on your skin. If a chance comes up for you to help a stranger, maybe give it a try. That stranger might stab you in the back or become your new best friend, but you won't know if you don't try.
Your brain isn't the only part of you that needs to learn either. Your heart must learn as well. Learn to be tough, learn to care, and learn to live in the moment. Your heart will learn from good and bad relationships, but never from the lack of any. Human contact is such a beautiful part of life, and love is such a mysterious part of relationships. So go out there and give it a try, it might end bad or it could become the best choice you've ever made.
In the end, the message here is go out and do something. Technology is taking away from people experiences. You are probably reading this article because you are bored, and I thank you for giving me your time. But now go out and make a new memory. Get hurt, have fun, do something you would have never done before. Be spontaneous, be different. With whatever you do, allow yourself to learn something new.
