Disney Princesses have been taking a lot of heat lately for being bad role models and degrading towards women. I totally agree, I would never want my daughter to act like a Disney Princess. And here is why.
Snow White
Snow White is a total hoe for living with so many men. Women cannot have guy friends unless they are having some kind of relationship with them. I mean seven men? Come on girl, you have to have something going on behind the scenes with all of them. It doesn’t make sense for you to have guy friends.
Cinderella
Cinderella is treated unfairly and is bullied by her stepfamily. I would want my daughter to never defend herself and want better for herself. All while remaining peaceful and kind.
Ariel
My daughter should not want more than what she already has. “Oh, you want to go explore the world? No, stay home with me for the rest of your life.” She should just keep collecting things from around the world and sing to them. It’s totally normal.
Belle
There is no way I would want my daughter to protect her family. And I would never want her to fall in love with someone just because it’s not a normal relationship the person is not well-liked. Also, my daughter will never, ever read books!
Jasmine
I would be so mad if my daughter didn’t want to marry the man that I had picked out for her. I mean, I have raised her, her whole life. So I should know who she should love. End of story
Pocahontas
Pocahontas is crazy for sticking up for what she believes in. My daughter will know her place. Even if it means that she will lose the love of her life, she will never disobey me.
Mulan
Why in the world would I want my daughter to think that she is just as good as men? She should be sitting quietly at home making them sandwiches and bringing them drinks instead of fighting for her country. Even when her true identity was exposed, Mulan rose to the challenge, not only bringing honor to her family but saving her country from invasion from Genghis Kahn and his henchmen. I would totally ground her for leaving the house and not telling me where she was.
Merida
LOL yeah, my daughter will never be brave.
