Not all of these shows will be your number one favorite show ever, but they all bring something unique to the table. Try some of these out, you might be surprised.

10. Call the Midwife

Call the Midwife is a BBC program that recounts the lives of midwifes in London around 1960. Not only does it show the way of childbirth in the 1960's but also the love lives of the characters. Its well worth the watch if you enjoy historically accurate fiction.

9. The OA

The OA is really cool, however its also really different. Its definitely not for everyone and it takes a fair amount of attention to understand. Its about a blind woman who went missing and then years later returned to her family with her sight restored. Its about so much more than that but SPOILERS!

8. Atypical

Atypical is a funny show about a young boy with autism who is searching for love. The story dives into the lives of the family and how their lives are made different by having a brother or son with autism. Its worth the watch!

7. Dear White People

This show confronts many difficult topics of race and how race affects everyone. It is not a polite show, and its very unconventional, but in my opinion that's what makes it so amazing. Its time to have open conversations about race.

6. Nailed It

This show is quite funny, it takes normal people who aren't chefs and treats them like they are. Its hilarious, and shows you that you aren't actually the worst cook ever, these people on the show are!

5. Lost in Space

Lost in Space is intriguing and exciting. A family who is fleeing from planet earth to find a better planet run into some trouble in the midst of their galactic travel and they end up lost somewhere in the middle with a scary unidentified robot guy who may or may not be evil. This is well worth the watch.

4. The Office

The Office took some time to get used to, but once you get past the first few episodes, you'll laugh so hard you cry. Its a dry humor at times but if you pay attention you will totally love it.

3. New Girl

This show is quite possibly the greatest show ever! Its full of love, life, and good humor. Jessica Day moves in with 4 grown men and the rest is history. Watch it. You'll love it.

2. The Crown

British royals are always interesting, its a historically accurate show about the Queen which shows the life she lived in more personal detail than we see on the outside. Its captivating, and you'll have a killer British accent by the time you've watched season 2.

1. Grey's Anatomy

Ahh, the most well known television show in US... Well, maybe not but its been around for a long time and still going strong. Greys follows the lives of the Doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital from their internship all the way to retirement probably. Full of love triangles, death, medicine, and more death. Its a black hole you may never get out of but so totally worth it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
