Netflix Series I Binged, Fell In Love With And Then Found Out Were Cancelled

My heart is still broken.

I'll be the first one to admit that I get emotionally invested in almost every show that I watch. So, when I get into a show and can't wait for the new season to be released on Netflix, you can imagine how upset I would be to find out that the show was cancelled after only a season or two. I've compiled a list for you to be aware of so you don't suffer the same fate as me.

1.The Glades

This was a great show that followed a detective in Florida who used some not-so-traditional ways to solve crimes. My biggest problem with the cancellation of this show was when it occurred and how the final season ended. If you know what I'm talking about, you can agree that you shouldn't end a series on a cliffhanger like that.

2. Reckless

I love shows that take place in the south. I don't know what it is, but I'm always looking for different entertainment that has that nice, southern backdrop. Add in lawyers and I'm down. After a season of this show, it was cancelled. I was devastated.

3. Battle Creek

The Mayhem Guy starred in this cop show, but I didn't realize it until the first episode was over. There are a few other appearances from actors I've seen in other things (one of the leads from One Small Hitch, so you know I must've been excited about this one). The series ends, again, on a horrible cliffhanger (not as bad as The Glades, but still) and then I find out it was cancelled. My poor heart can only take so much of this.

4.Hart of Dixie

This show may not have been cancelled in such a horrible way, but I would've really liked to see it continue. It ends on a really happy note with a really uncharacteristic song, but I can say that I wasn't completely gutted. I got four happy seasons.

5. Lie to Me

I am STILL upset over this one. It was an amazing show with an awesome presence and great actors. And we were only gifted with three seasons. I'm just probably going to cry now at the thought of this injustice.

6. Mysteries of Laura

Now, this one I didn't even know was cancelled until about three seconds before writing. I shouldn't have looked, but I just found out that it was cancelled after season three and its last episode was back in March of this year. I'm really regretting writing this article because it's bringing up a lot of emotions.

7. The Finder

Again, cancelled after only one season and it left my heart broken. This was a part of Bones, which still seems to be going strong after how many seasons? If Bones can continue on, then why can't this?! Again, I'm telling you, my heart is breaking all over again.

8. Haven

Okay, I also just found out this show was cancelled after five seasons. This is a great show that has a lot of things going on for it. Thankfully, I still have a season or two left to watch, so that's probably what I'll be doing in my down time this semester.

9. The Returned

This show has the coolest premise but it always left me feeling pretty strange. I was researching it the other night because I was waiting for the second season to air, but found out it was cancelled. Most sources told me I could try the French version of the show, but it's not the same.

10. Twisted

I feel like this happens a lot to ABC Family (or Freeform, whatever) TV shows. Again, this show ended on a huge cliffhanger and then left us hanging. Why did I do this to myself?

I've decided that My List on Netflix is just one giant graveyard for all of my favorite shows.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
