Growing up without Netflix, or even Hulu, is tough nowadays. While everyone catches up on all of their favorite shows and movies, those who don’t have it must be subjected to actual cable networks, such as DirectTV and XFINITY. We wait for re-runs of shows and hope we find a good movie to watch from the very few selections they provide. Some may be aware of HBO and Starz "On Demand," which satisfy immediate needs but never can compare to Netflix. Parents claim we don't need Netflix, we already have cable, but how can that be? Is there ever such a thing as having too many options for movies? Is there such a thing as watching too many episodes of your favorite TV show in one weekend?
Going to a friend's house or being blessed with the Netflix password is heaven. Having unlimited options to binge watch as much as you want comes rarely for us deprived children and must be used wisely. Watch the shows that need to be caught up on, but remember to take advantage of those romantic comedies. When you're feeling lonely and bored, don’t be afraid to send that "Netflix and Chill" text and decide on one of the scary movies that endlessly stream.
People take advantage of their Netflix, but it is important to remember that with a Netflix password comes great responsibility. Adhering to Pacific or Central time, those with cable networks don’t have the luxury to watch the shows we want whenever we want. So when you're complaining about having nothing to watch, think about those who can’t send "Netflix and Chill" texts. Were stranded with nothing but cable TV. It is equivalent to being stranded on an island without the luxury choosing from exotic and familiar fruits that we hope we can enjoy. Moral of this epic rant is that Netflix is a luxury that those who are gifted with should let those "less-fortunate" enjoy as well. And how you ask? It's simple: with the almighty Netflix password!
