Here's Why We Need Another Season Of "Sex And The City"

It has been way too many years since the last season of "Sex and the City" aired, yet we are all still obsessed. We can sit and watch reruns for hours even though we already know exactly what is going to happen. It is almost as if the lives of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte were ones that we wanted to have, and by watching season after season we were able to imagine what life would be like as women in "Sex and the City."

We all had that one favorite character that we wanted to be in our next life. Mine happened to be Carrie and sometimes when I sit here and write, I feel like I am just like her without the amazing shoes, an apartment in the city and my own Big.

We love imagining our lives as the characters and many years later we are still obsessing over the show. I think now would be a perfect time for another season.

1. We are still watching reruns... 12 years later.

Enough said. We are still binge-watching a show that is over a decade old. A new season at this point would be much more entertaining.

2. The women's lives were a complete fantasy and we could continue to fantasize with them every second.

Carrie was a freelance writer, never had to worry about a deadline and could still afford fancy shoes and a nice studio apartment. Charlotte had the perfect little New York job as a gallery girl; how many people can still make a living off of just being a gallery girl? Samantha made PR work look easy, how many times in the show was she actually working, anyway? Miranda's life was a bit less of a fantasy, having the serious job as the lawyer, but she still had it easy, too. Either way, we love the fantasy aspect.

3. The show was better than any sex ed class we ever took in high school and sometimes a refresher course is needed.

I definitely learned more from watching "Sex and the City" about sex than I actually did in school. Everything you needed to know about vibrators to threesomes, you learned from watching, and all the weird, kinky things that you were afraid to try in the bedroom, you knew Samantha Jones has tried once before. That was your sign of reassurance.

4. We are currently lacking in the entertainment world that has a show with that much fashion and glamour.

Can you think of a current show that has as much fashion and glamour as "Sex and the City" had? Carrie's closet of shoes was enough to make me drool. Can we also talk about how glamorous the women looked even just going to Sunday brunch? Yes, that is also part of the fantasy, but still the fashion and glamour was unreal.

5. We can still hum the opening instrumental every single time.

Let's face it, that tune is never getting old. We could hear it without seeing the TV screen and still vividly picture Carrie as she walks down the street, gets splashed by a truck going through a puddle and then sees herself on the side of a city bus. It is never going to get old.

6. We need a reminder that women can be independent and successful.

Although the women of "Sex and the City" are fictional characters they have taught us the importance of being strong independent women and that women can be successful all on their own. The reality stars that we spend so much time watching now do not depict true independent women.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
