How well do you know your obscure National Holidays? Probably not as well as you think; here are all the National Holidays happening this week that you didn't know existed.
Content Warning for Food, Knife-Wielding Pathologists, and Gif Warning!
1. December 11th: National Noodle Ring Day
2. December 12th: National Ding-A-Ling Day

Okay so I thought that this was a day celebrating human anatomy with the tackiest namesake possible, but it turns out the concept of this day is kind of cute! Call up an old friend or someone you haven't spoken to in a long time and have a chat!!
3. December 13th: Pick A Pathologist Day
"This day was created to encourage us to make friends with a pathologist or coroner because we never know what tomorrow holds."
4. December 15th: Cat Herder's Day
5. December 16th: It was hard to choose just one for today. It's a busy day. There are a lot of holidays. So many. It's National Chocolate-Covered Anything Day.
(I suggest chocolate covered gummy bears tbh)
It's Barbie and Barney Backlash Day. I'm confused too, let's explain. "On this day, moms and dads across the country can deny Barbie and Barney exist and take a vacation from all the repetitive sing-a-longs and storytelling." Casual gaslighting? Okay, sure. Thanks, America!
Just for good measure, I'd like to let you know that December 16th is also Free Shipping day, Ugly Christmas Sweater Day and Underdog day. We see you, underdogs. Buy an ugly Christmas Sweater, shipping is free!
6. December 17th: National Maple Syrup Day
C H U G S O M E S Y R U P
7. December 18th: Answer the Phone Like Buddy The Elf Day
8. Let's fast-forward to Christmas. December 25th: A'Phabet Day or No "L" Day
"Avoid the use of ‘L’ in everything you write and say today. Ban the use of any object that begins with the letter 'L' in your house and in your workplace."
